Forge Workshop

In the center of the capital, in the midst of the “Vernissage in Izmailovo”, which makes an integral unity with the “Russkoje Podvorje”, there is a Forge Shop, where professional black-smiths create their surprising masterpieces. Their products always participate at the Russian and international expositions making a big stir with the public. The most picturesque items of the “Russkoje Podvorje” ornament are done by the masters of this Forge Shop. This is the only forge shop in Moscow, created and built not only like a shop but also as a live museum of artistic smithery. The visitors can watch the smiths working and also to take part in the process.

Ceramics workshop

From the moment of its opening a complex "Russkoje Podvorje” hosts ceramic workshops. The best masters of Moscow porcelain factory work here, producing souvenirs, sculptures of small forms, utensils.  The modern designs and the forms of production are applied, but due to specific manual skills each separate element, each curl of figure comes to life, getting individual features. Preparation of materials and forms, drawing of enamels and lists, roasting in the special furnace are not only a laborious work, but also a fascinating process which actually has not been changed for centuries. The visitors have a unique opportunity to witness a birth of masterpieces of arts and crafts at their presence.
